Cleaning my room.

It may sound a little shallow, but for a procrastinator like me it is still an achievement.
And also because I'm a bit of a hoarder, throwing away things that have been decades old is a bittersweet moment.

It's the memories that count, I suppose.

January:
1. Get a job
Currently, I'm in the works of getting employed by my alma mata. But I really need a job for various reasons. One, I need to revive my brain. Two, I need to save up for my family trip to Europe. Which reminds me, I have some research to do....

2. Settle classes.
GH: DANCE CLASSES
ME: DRIVING CLASSES
For the same reason, I have to revive my brain.

3. Bathe the dog/ clean my room
Meh, I'm a procrastinator. Only for the latter, though. The weather won't co-operate with me for the first.

Febuary
1. Try not to die
Period.

2. Bake something
We've recently acquired a new oven, and I plan to utilise it. Cookies, anybody? Up, Up and Away

I cannot say how much I love the show.

Kathryn and Jacob Contemporary in the finals (S6) is like sex on pointed feet.
Pauline and Jonathan Waltz is like love on heels, contrary to popular belief.
Legacy - is a legacy himself.
Russel and Noelle, in African Jazz, was phenomenal.
Ryan and Ashleigh... simply adorable.

When there's light filtering through shade, be it clouds or leaves or glass.
It always reminds me of this saying, that we will not notice light if there is no darkness. It was mentioned at homily today too.
That what defines something, is the opposite of itself.

This is tough.

I never had a favourite superhero, 'coz they were all cool.
Hmm. I guess Prof X.
Because he can read minds. Even though it doesn't take a superhero to do that, just a very observant person or a psychic, at least he compensates it with human compassion.
And sometimes, I wonder why I don't have a mentor like him.

Reunion dinner was civil enough. Up, Up and Away

Milford Sound, New Zealand.

I'll always love NZ. It was my first free and easy trip, I went with my family, and basically just bask in the NZ scenery. It's really a beautiful place to escape into, esp. the mountainous areas like Franz Josef. OMG, glacier climbing. Totally awesome.

AND it was the backdrop of LOTR. Who wouldn't love it?

I only wish I could go horseback riding. And swim with the dolphins. My attempts were ruined by the monthly cycle. =.=

Won't spoil the movie, but they are very good eye candy. :P

Oh no, what did I get myself into. Up, Up and Away

Faint Whispers and Multa Paucis was actually born from this latin phrase which really impressed me.

Verba volant, scripta manent.

Which means 'Words fly away, writings remain.'
It's latin, btw.

I felt that it applies to what I always feel. That if I don't capture the particular subject of my attention, it will disappear, worthless. Like one moment, and it's lost forever. Like empty promises on fibbing lips. Like faint whispers in the night.

So if I could capture that moment, in any way, it will remain with me, at least for a while.

That's the allure of the written word for me. It allows me to bring the image to mind, and let it sink in for a moment, before moving on to the next scene. The printed black against white paper leaves no grey area for arguement. Set in stone, never to be corrected. A sense of security, perhaps, to be able to convey a multitude of ideas in writing. To say much in a few words. Multa Paucis.
