Up, Up and Away

They are the family that I choose for myself.

Some of my friends are people I cannot live with. They are people who help me contain my insanity... or unleash it in the most harmless way possible. They are people who can advice me on decisions that could affect my future, or remind me to stop and smell the roses. They are people who show me what life can be about, only if I let myself experience it.

Some of my friends last a season. They give me balance in different stages of my life. They remind me of the harsher realities, that I need to take off my rose-tinted glasses and clean them once in a while. They show me how I have to pull back, and take charge of myself too.

Friends are important companions. They help us see things that we can't see alone.
